Guide for parents and guardians
Use the portal on a computer or phone, change your own name, phone or photo, follow each child's attendance, results and fees, pay fees online, read report cards, message their teachers and read school announcements.
Who this guide is for
You are a parent or guardian of a student at the school. One account covers all your children at the school: you can follow each child's attendance, results and fees, read their report cards, message their teachers and read the school's announcements.
Before you start
Your school gives you your sign-in details and links your children to your account.
Open your school's portal and go to the sign-in page. It shows your school's name.
Enter your Email Address and Password, then select Sign In. You arrive on your Parent Dashboard.
If you would rather not use a password, select Sign in with an email code, enter your email and select Email me a code. If you have forgotten your password, select Forgot password?.
If the page says no children are linked to your account, contact the school office.
Find your way around on a computer
Your pages are in the menu down the left side: Dashboard, Results, Fees, Messages and Announcements. On a tablet, the same menu opens from the menu button at the top left.
At the top, EN and FR switch between English and French wherever a page has been translated, and the sun or moon button switches between light and dark. Until you choose, the app follows your device's setting.
To sign out, select your picture at the top right and then Sign out, or the sign-out icon beside your name at the bottom of the menu.
Use it on your phone
Open your school's address in your phone's browser and sign in as above.
The first time, a message may offer to install the school's app: select Install app, or Not now to carry on in the browser. On an iPhone or iPad it tells you to tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. The message is shown only once. The installed app opens from your home screen with your school's name and icon.
Use the bar along the bottom of the screen: Today (your Parent Dashboard), Results, Fees and Messages.
Select More for Announcements and the rest of the menu. At the bottom of it are Appearance (System, Light or Dark), Language (English or Français) and Sign out.
Change your own name, phone or photo
Select your picture at the top right, then My profile. On a phone, select More, then your name at the top.
Change your First name, Last name or Phone number, and select Save changes. The name and phone number the school has for you as your children's parent change with it. Clearing the phone number here leaves the school's contact number for you as it was.
To add a photo, select Add a photo (or Change photo) and choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP image of up to 3 MB. Remove photo takes it off. If there is no photo button, photo uploads are not set up for your school.
Your email address and password are how you sign in, so they are not changed on this page. Under Email and password, Change password opens the page where you set a new one. To change the email address you sign in with, ask your school's administrator.
Your Parent Dashboard
Sign in: the Parent Dashboard opens. On a phone, it is the Today tab.
If you have more than one child at the school, choose a child from the buttons at the top. You see their class and admission number.
Attendance, Average and Fee Bal. are their attendance this term, their average and their fee balance. If the school marks out of 20, the average and each subject total are marks out of 20, for example 13.40/20.
Last 7 School Days shows whether they were Present, Absent, Late or Excused on each day. A grey "Not recorded" day means no register was taken — it is not an absence.
Term Result Summary gives their Term Average and Class Position; select View Full for the report card. Fee Balance shows what is still owed, with a Pay Fees button, or Fully Paid.
For a child in their final year, the dashboard also shows their exam permit and whether it is cleared or blocked; a blocked permit has a Pay Now button. Upcoming Events appear when the school has posted any.
Read a report card
Open Results, in the menu or as a tab on a phone. If you have more than one child, select a child.
Choose a term under Select Term. The term's report card appears. On a phone it is laid out as one column to scroll.
Select Download PDF to save a copy.
Check fees
Open Fees, in the menu or as a tab on a phone. If you have more than one child, select a child. Select Change child to switch.
Each invoice shows the Total, what has been Paid and the Balance, with a status: Paid, Partial, Unpaid or Overdue.
Select Invoice PDF on an invoice to Download PDF, Print it, Share on WhatsApp or Email it. For email, the address the school has for you is filled in under Send to; select Send.
If the school has not issued your child any invoices, the page says No outstanding fees!
Pay fees online
Unpaid and part-paid invoices show a Pay Now button.
Select Pay Now on the invoice.
If your school takes mobile money, you are taken to a secure checkout for the balance due. When you have paid, you come back to the portal and the payment is recorded.
If your school pays by bank transfer, the page shows the account number, the bank and the exact amount to send, with a reference. Send exactly that amount from your banking app; a different amount is not matched to your invoice.
If your school gives each student an account of their own for fees, the page shows The student's own account for fees instead: the account number, the bank, the Account name and the Balance on this invoice. This account is your child's for good and does not expire, so save it in your banking app. Send any amount, whenever you like, in instalments if you wish. Money is applied to your child's oldest unpaid invoice first. After you send it, select I have sent the money to see what has been applied and what is still owed.
You can pay only your own children's invoices. If the page says your school does not take payments online yet, or not for this invoice's currency, pay at the school office.
Message a teacher
Open Messages, in the menu or as a tab on a phone, and select New message.
Under Your child, choose the child the message is about, then choose the Teacher you want to write to.
Enter a Subject and your message, then select Send message.
Open a conversation to read replies. Type in the reply box and select Send.
Read announcements
Open Announcements (under More on a phone).
The notices your school has published for families are listed, newest first.
Select an announcement to read it in full.
Tips and common questions
I cannot see one of my children. Only children the school has linked to your account appear. Contact the school office.
No teachers are listed for my child. Contact the school office.
A term is not listed under Select Term. A term appears once the school has published its results.
Getting help
For anything about your child, message their teacher or contact the school office. For help with the portal:
